We have a responsibility to influence positive change…

We strive to build and nurture a culture where inclusiveness is a reflex, not an initiative.

We encourage, support, and amplify the diverse voices of our team and the wider community. It fuels our innovation and stands at the forefront of what we do.

Celebrating the Guardians of York - April 2021

We live in a world where culture is slowly slipping away. We want to find out what cultures surround us - both close to our homes and further afield. Art of Protest Projects is first and foremost an engagement organisation and we always strive to speak to the communities that we work within. We ask questions about their peoples’ lives - their families, their passions and dreams, their heritage, their future. We want to understand the languages our communities speak, both literally and abstractly. This inclusivity is paramount to delivering successful street art programmes and interventions.

Diversity doesn’t mean just race. It means race, gender, sexuality, culture, neurodiversity, socioeconomic class, religion, ability, educational background, gender role, diet, skin type …the list is endless. The world is full of diverse humans. We see you. We salute you. We want to meet you.

We believe identifying ourselves as visible and voluntary allies is vital amidst the challenges we face, collectively, in this world. Igniting social change through the vehicle of urban art gives us an enormous voice and platform, and we strive to use it as a tool to circulate messages of inclusion, understanding and unity.

By fostering a culture of diversity and inclusivity, we aim to create an environment where every person feels a sense of belonging, where their unique contributions are valued, and where they can flourish both personally and professionally.
